期刊結構控制和健康監(jiān)測包括結構控制的所有理論和技術方面，結構健康監(jiān)測理論和智能材料和結構。該期刊的重點是航空航天，民用，基礎設施和機械工程應用。在三個主要領域征求基于分析、計算和實驗方法的原始意見：監(jiān)測、控制和智能材料和結構，涉及系統(tǒng)識別、健康監(jiān)測、健康診斷、多功能材料、信號處理、傳感器技術、被動，主動和半主動控制方案和實現(xiàn)，形狀記憶合金，壓電和機電一體化。還令人感興趣的有：致動器設計、動態(tài)系統(tǒng)、動態(tài)穩(wěn)定性、人工智能工具、數據采集、無線通信、測量、用于局部損害檢測的mems/nems傳感器、用于健康監(jiān)測的光纖傳感器、監(jiān)測系統(tǒng)的遙控；用于移動應用、腐蝕傳感器、掃描指標和實驗技術的傳感器-記錄器組合。嚴格處理現(xiàn)有方法的應用或處理編輯認為不是最前沿的研究領域的論文，將不予考慮審查。期刊發(fā)表的論文篇幅通常不超過25頁。不鼓勵提交由兩部分組成的文件，不發(fā)表篇幅不超過6頁的簡短通信。

The Journal Structural Control and Health Monitoring encompasses all theoretical and technological aspects of structural control, structural health monitoring theory and smart materials and structures. The journal focuses on aerospace, civil, infrastructure and mechanical engineering applications.Original contributions based on analytical, computational and experimental methods are solicited in three main areas: monitoring, control, and smart materials and structures, covering subjects such as system identification, health monitoring, health diagnostics, multi-functional materials, signal processing, sensor technology, passive, active and semi active control schemes and implementations, shape memory alloys, piezoelectrics and mechatronics.Also of interest are actuator design, dynamic systems, dynamic stability, artificial intelligence tools, data acquisition, wireless communications, measurements, MEMS/NEMS sensors for local damage detection, optical fibre sensors for health monitoring, remote control of monitoring systems, sensor-logger combinations for mobile applications, corrosion sensors, scour indicators and experimental techniques.Papers dealing strictly with applications of existing methods or dealing with areas of research which are not cutting edge, as deemed by the editors, will not be considered for review. The journal publishes full-length papers, which should normally be less than 25 journal pages in length. The submission of two-part papers is discouraged and short communications of six pages or less will not be published.
