魚類和漁業(yè)采用一種廣泛的、跨學(xué)科的方法來研究魚類生物學(xué)和漁業(yè)。它以主要的天氣論文和綜合或元分析的形式作出貢獻(xiàn)，提出新的方法，重新檢查現(xiàn)有的發(fā)現(xiàn)、方法或理論，并討論來自不同領(lǐng)域的論文和評(píng)論。重點(diǎn)領(lǐng)域包括魚類古生物學(xué)、分子生物學(xué)和生態(tài)學(xué)、遺傳學(xué)、生物化學(xué)、生理學(xué)、生態(tài)學(xué)、行為學(xué)、進(jìn)化研究、養(yǎng)護(hù)、評(píng)價(jià)、種群動(dòng)態(tài)、數(shù)學(xué)模型、生態(tài)系統(tǒng)分析以及以科學(xué)方法為基礎(chǔ)的漁業(yè)的社會(huì)、經(jīng)濟(jì)和政策方面。《魚類和漁業(yè)》的一篇論文必須利用關(guān)于一個(gè)主題的現(xiàn)有文獻(xiàn)的所有關(guān)鍵要素，通常具有廣泛的地理和/或分類范圍，并提供一般性的要點(diǎn)，使其無論其地理位置如何都能吸引廣泛的讀者。因此，簡(jiǎn)而言之，我們的目標(biāo)是發(fā)表文章，綜合舊的或天氣的，長期或空間廣泛的數(shù)據(jù)，介紹或鞏固新的概念或理論，或在Ghoti部分，簡(jiǎn)要證明初步的，新的天氣思想。請(qǐng)注意，提交不符合這一任務(wù)的作者將被導(dǎo)向適當(dāng)?shù)闹饕墨I(xiàn)。

Fish and Fisheries adopts a broad, interdisciplinary approach to the subject of fish biology and fisheries. It draws contributions in the form of major synoptic papers and syntheses or meta-analyses that lay out new approaches, re-examine existing findings, methods or theory, and discuss papers and commentaries from diverse areas. Focal areas include fish palaeontology, molecular biology and ecology, genetics, biochemistry, physiology, ecology, behaviour, evolutionary studies, conservation, assessment, population dynamics, mathematical modelling, ecosystem analysis and the social, economic and policy aspects of fisheries where they are grounded in a scientific approach. A paper in Fish and Fisheries must draw upon all key elements of the existing literature on a topic, normally have a broad geographic and/or taxonomic scope, and provide general points which make it compelling to a wide range of readers whatever their geographical location. So, in short, we aim to publish articles that make syntheses of old or synoptic, long-term or spatially widespread data, introduce or consolidate fresh concepts or theory, or, in the Ghoti section, briefly justify preliminary, new synoptic ideas. Please note that authors of submissions not meeting this mandate will be directed to the appropriate primary literature.
