序貫分析的目的是在統(tǒng)計科學的所有領域對序貫方法的理論和應用方面作出貢獻。發(fā)表的論文強調了新的和重要的順序方法的發(fā)展。強調對應用研究人員和統(tǒng)計顧問具有實用價值的方法的跨學科文章受到高度鼓勵。包括動物數(shù)量、生物等效性、通信科學、計算機模擬、數(shù)據(jù)挖掘、方向數(shù)據(jù)、疾病繪圖、環(huán)境采樣、基因組、成像、微陣列、網(wǎng)絡、并行處理、害蟲管理、聲納探測、空間統(tǒng)計、跟蹤和工程等應用領域的論文被認為特別重要。特別有價值的是解釋性評論文章，批判性地綜合廣泛的統(tǒng)計問題。還審議了關于個案研究的論文。所有的論文都要經(jīng)過評審。

The purpose of Sequential Analysis is to contribute to theoretical and applied aspects of sequential methodologies in all areas of statistical science. Published papers highlight the development of new and important sequential approaches.Interdisciplinary articles that emphasize the methodology of practical value to applied researchers and statistical consultants are highly encouraged. Papers that cover contemporary areas of applications including animal abundance, bioequivalence, communication science, computer simulations, data mining, directional data, disease mapping, environmental sampling, genome, imaging, microarrays, networking, parallel processing, pest management, sonar detection, spatial statistics, tracking, and engineering are deemed especially important. Of particular value are expository review articles that critically synthesize broad-based statistical issues. Papers on case-studies are also considered. All papers are refereed.
