該雜志在概率和統(tǒng)計領域發(fā)表原創(chuàng)研究和調查論文。它涵蓋了理論和實踐方面，在這些領域的任何領域。特別令人感興趣的是方法學的發(fā)展及其在其他科學領域的應用，例如生物學和遺傳學、信息論、金融學、生物信息學、隨機結構和隨機圖、計量經濟學、物理學。長篇論文非常受歡迎。事實上，我們打算在應用的方向上發(fā)展該雜志，并將其開放給各個領域，其中隨機數學模型是重要的。我們將特別呼吁(調查)論文在這些領域，以使隨機社區(qū)意識到重要的問題，無論是理論和實踐的利益。我們都知道，最近在概率和統(tǒng)計方面的許多引人入勝的發(fā)展都來自“外部”，我們認為ESAIM: P&S應該是此類交易所的一個良好切入點。當然，這并不意味著該雜志將只專注于實踐方面。

英文簡介

The journal publishes original research and survey papers in the area of Probability and Statistics. It covers theoretical and practical aspects, in any field of these domains.Of particular interest are methodological developments with application in other scientific areas, for example Biology and Genetics, Information Theory, Finance, Bioinformatics, Random structures and Random graphs, Econometrics, Physics.Long papers are very welcome.Indeed, we intend to develop the journal in the direction of applications and to open it to various fields where random mathematical modelling is important. In particular we will call (survey) papers in these areas, in order to make the random community aware of important problems of both theoretical and practical interest. We all know that many recent fascinating developments in Probability and Statistics are coming from "the outside" and we think that ESAIM: P&S should be a good entry point for such exchanges. Of course this does not mean that the journal will be only devoted to practical aspects.
