環(huán)境科學(xué)和環(huán)境(生物)技術(shù)領(lǐng)域廣泛、多學(xué)科、發(fā)展迅速、極其活躍。在過去的二十年里，我們看到了大量的數(shù)據(jù)積累和一系列重要的發(fā)現(xiàn)。要了解這些領(lǐng)域目前的發(fā)展情況幾乎是不可能的，更不用說判斷它們的長期意義了。環(huán)境科學(xué)和生物/技術(shù)綜述的目的有兩方面:讓讀者了解在環(huán)境科學(xué)和生物技術(shù)的多學(xué)科和迅速擴(kuò)大的領(lǐng)域中取得的最新進(jìn)展，并就這些發(fā)展將走向何方提供觀點(diǎn)。該雜志由兩個(gè)不同的同行評(píng)審部分組成:一個(gè)提供關(guān)于主題和趨勢(shì)的科學(xué)觀點(diǎn)的小型評(píng)審，另一個(gè)提供對(duì)特定領(lǐng)域的研究工作和技術(shù)實(shí)現(xiàn)的全面批判性評(píng)價(jià)(評(píng)審)。除了這兩個(gè)部分之外，該雜志還將出版研究和面向政策的評(píng)論、關(guān)于新發(fā)起的研究項(xiàng)目的資料、主要網(wǎng)站、在國際講習(xí)班、研討會(huì)和專題討論會(huì)上介紹的該領(lǐng)域的最新發(fā)展以及青年研究人員(科學(xué)職業(yè))的倡議。《環(huán)境科學(xué)與生物/技術(shù)評(píng)論》接受電子多媒體文件(動(dòng)畫、電影、音頻等)和其他補(bǔ)充文件，連同一篇文章一起在線發(fā)布。這個(gè)特性可以為作者的文章增加維度，因?yàn)槟承┬畔⒉荒艽蛴?，或者以電子形式更方便?/p>

The areas of environmental science and environmental (bio)technology are broad, multidisciplinary, fast growing and extremely active. The last twenty years have seen an overwhelming accumulation of data, and a panoply of important discoveries. It is almost impossible to keep up to date on current developments in these areas, let alone judge their long-term significance.The purpose of Reviews in Environmental Science and Bio/Technology is twofold: to keep the reader up-to-date on achieved advances in the multidisciplinary and rapidly expanding fields of environmental science and biotechnology, and to offer perspectives on where these developments will lead.The journal comprises of two distinct peer-reviewed sections: one offering Mini-Reviews expressing scientific opinions on topics and trends, and another presenting comprehensive critical evaluations (Reviews) of research efforts and technical realizations in particular areas. In addition to these two sections, the journal will publish research and policy-oriented commentaries, information on newly initiated research projects, key websites, recent developments in the field presented on international workshops, seminars and symposia, and initiatives from young researchers (science careers).Reviews in Environmental Science and Bio/Technology accepts electronic multimedia files (animations, movies, audio etc.) and other supplementary files to be published online along with an article. This feature can add dimension to the author's article as certain information cannot be printed or is more convenient in electronic form.
